Music I listen to

I love just about everything. Jazz, Metal, Rock, Opera, Classical, Folk, Blues, World, Indigenous, and so forth.

Movies I like

I love historical fiction like: Kingdom of Heaven, Gladiator, Alexander, etc.

Comedies: Anything with Adam Sandler in it, and anything Monty Python did.

Action: Stuff like the Bourne series.

Epic: Lord of the Rings (of course) and The Star Wars series.

Fantasy: Legend, Dark Crystal, Labyrinth, etc.

I'm not much into Romance.

TV shows I watch

Anything on the History Channel - especially Ice Road Truckers, any CSI, any Law and Order, 48 hours, Crime 360, and I have kids - so the Disney Channel is on a lot.

Favorite Authors

Issac Asimov, Michael Moorcock, Terry Brooks, Ann Rice, and so on.

Interesting facts about me

imageHi! I'm Jen. I don't know that there is a whole lot of "interesting facts" about me to share. I'm a singer/songwriter, play guitar and piano, and more recently have picked up bass and joined a band. I'm a college student and just earned my AA in Psychology - graduating Magna Cum Laude (not perfect but pretty good anyway:) and as a member of Phi Theta Kappa (National Honor Society for Community Colleges). I want to add that I don't consider myself to be particularly smart, and I don't have a natural academic gift. That being the case, I busted my ass to earn the honors I graduated with, so I'm pretty damn proud of them :). I'll begin pursuing my BA this fall. I'm a married mother of two. I work at a day care during the week (though my hours have just been cut *sigh*), bar-tend on the weekends, and several times a year I volunteer at a free kids' music camp as a vocal instructor. That's about it!

Places to visit before I turn 100

I want to visit: Scotland, then backpack the rest of Europe; climb Mount Sinai in Egypt; go backpacking in Africa; British Columbia; Alaska; China; Japan; India...
